An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros
Line of Events
Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, a.k.a. The Penguin Makes a Play to Take Over Gotham’s Underworld From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about them. "The Penguin." joined the character during the production of Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Smoking Penguin in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful. However, for his own series, the character is described as an occasional tobacco user, preferring cigars.
Absolutely nailed the tone and atmosphere
logo. Featured in Graham Norton and guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Grumpy and dark and gloomy, but Farrell manages to capture the glimmer of charisma that Gandolfini’s Tony Soprano did. There are similarities with sopranos, especially in tone.
Where to start with Farrell
Much of the dark stuff is toned down in this opening episode, but there are still comedic moments that fit the tone and don’t bog it down. Amazing is the right word. I love seeing talented star actors step into roles like this and whatever they did with the makeup/cgi or physically transforming him into a penguin not only passes the eye test but looks incredibly realistic. If the makeup job isn’t good enough or a little lacking, there’s always the risk of it being completely distracting.
And Farrell, as an actor, is completely immersed in this role
In Penguin, it adds to his performance and the overall quality of the show, because it’s such a good job. I might be a little biased because he was one of my favorite actors before this show, but I think that will give him good reviews. I never jump right into new shows because I love watching. Episodes all at once, but I wanted to see how this one actually turned out.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this project
I wasn’t disappointed, in fact I was shocked. "Yellowstone" Season 5, Episode 2, “The Squid Game”; Season 2 and many of the most anticipated new and returning series on TV and streaming.
