Combine the best of many or find creative new combinations
Ableton Live Suite Overview Live is fast, fluid and flexible software for creating and performing music. It has effects, instruments, sounds and all kinds of creative features – everything you need to create any kind of music. Create in a traditional linear layout or improvise without the constraints of a timeline in the live session view. Move freely between musical elements and play with ideas without stopping the music and interrupting the flow. Ableton Live Suite Key Features Comping Live organizes multiple runs of an audio or MIDI performance into individual recordings. Linked-track editing Link two or more audio or MIDI tracks to edit or compose content simultaneously.
Use the Push pad pressure to control note-by-note parameters
MPE Compatibility Add bends, slides and pressures to each note in a chord. Add subtle phrasing variations, shift between chords, and create evolving sonic textures. Expression View You can add and edit pitch, timbre, and pressure variations of each note directly in the new Clip Detail view tab. MPE-enabled native tools Wavetable, Sampler, and Arpeggiator now support MPE. Hybrid Reverb Combines convolutional and algorithmic reverbs, allowing you to create any space, from accurate real-world environments to those that defy physical reality. Spectral Resonator Splits the spectrum of the incoming audio signal into parts and subtly or radically stretches, shifts and blurs the result based on a frequency or a note.
Play like an instrument with MIDI
Spectral Time Converts audio into parts and feeds it into a frequency-based delay, resulting in metallic echoes, frequency-shifted and reverb-like effects. The Freeze function records and stores sound. Inspired by Nature Six playful instruments and effects that use natural and physical processes as inspiration. Produced in collaboration with Dillon Bastan. PitchLoop89 Based on an early digital effects processor, it creates edgy glitch effects, delayed digital sparkles and unusual vibrato to add character to sounds in the studio or on stage. Produced in collaboration with Robert Henke.
Flexible macro configuration Configure your racks to contain between 1 and 16 macros
Chorus-Ensemble An updated version of Chorus with a wider range of tone-shaping capabilities – add vibrato, spread the left and right channels of the signal in the stereo field, and add a thick 3-delay chorus. Redux Redux offers a wider range of vintage digital instrument sounds, including harsh distortions, digital and aliasing artifacts, and warm and saturated 8-bit textures. Phaser-Flanger The combination of Phaser and Flanger offers a new, richer sound with increased frequency and modulation ranges, expressive improvements to existing modes, and a new Doubler mode for short modulated delay. Macro Variations Store the state of your macros for later recall – a quick way to create instant variations for sounds or build and play during performances. Random Macro Values You can randomize the state of macros or assign the randomization button to MIDI. Tempo follow Live listens and adjusts tempo based on incoming sounds in real time, making it a dynamic part of the band, rather than everyone having to follow the tempo source.
Follow Actions Live 11 adds Scene Follow Actions to evolving arrangements
Note Chance Set the probability that a note or drum hit will occur and let Live generate surprising variations in your samples that change over time. Velocity Chance Define velocity probability ranges for subtle, humanized versions of pattern dynamics. Action Tracking can now jump to specific clips and enable and disable Action Tracking globally.
